La frénésie de cette ville de pacotilles, qui ne dort jamais, suscite beaucoup de nostalgie mélancolique. La musique de Gil Evans, avec le tuba de Bill Barber et la guitare de Kenny Burrell évoque parfaitement ce sentiment de plaisirs artificiels perdus.
